My medicine career started with a Physiology degree. My surgeon father encouraged nursing so I went on to receive a BS in Nursing at the Medical College of Virginia, and my Master of Science in Nurse-Midwifery from the University of Colorado in 1996. I believe one person can cause change and believe caring for others is an honor.
My son and daughter were delivered by the Women’s Clinic Certified Nurse Midwives. At age 45 I started practicing and fell in love with yoga. In 2013, I got my 200 Hour registered Yoga Teacher certification through the Yoga Alliance. My passion include being outside, traveling to developing countries, books, and hanging with my teenagers and my dogs.
